ExploMar proudly launches the “5S Energy Station,” a renewable energy fast-charging system after its high-performance electric outboard systems with power options of 70, 150, and 300 horsepower. This innovative system combines photovoltaic technology, energy storage, and fast-charging stations to provide independent charging solutions for electric boats, making it ideal for existing docks, islands, and remote waterways. The 5S system addresses challenges like inadequate power supply, weak grid infrastructure, high electricity costs, and underdeveloped power networks. With this introduction, ExploMar begins a new era of water mobility powered by renewable energy.
The “5S” represents a comprehensive approach to sustainable energy: SOLAR provides clean, renewable power; SELF-SUPPLY enables independent energy generation; STORAGE ensures reserves are available during low-sunlight periods; SCALE offers modular systems that can expand to meet growing demand; and SALES allows surplus energy to be sold back to the grid, maximizing efficiency and sustainability.
Equipped with a powerful 300 kW solar system, it can generate up to 1500 kWh of photovoltaic energy daily. This robust energy output enables fast charging for electric boats, meeting diverse operational needs. In a single day, the system can fully charge up to 35 boats equipped with WAVE 70 electric outboard motors and HEDB 40 batteries, or 6 boats with WAVE 300 electric outboard motors and HEDB 240 batteries.
ExploMar’s CEO, Alex Dong, states, “While our clients are committed to sustainability, they frequently encounter natural limitations and economic challenges. To address these issues, we have developed a comprehensive 5S energy solution that encompasses the entire user journey in electric water mobility. Users who share this vision will find it much easier to engage without concerns about energy supply. By providing more than just a powertrain system, we aim to drive the electric water mobility ecosystem forward.”
The 5S Energy Solution integrates seamlessly with ExploMar’s high energy density batteries, allowing for rapid charging and ensuring uninterrupted, zero-emission operations in remote areas. Its modular and transportable design allows for easy deployment and scalability of electric fleets, while providing multi-layer protection for reliable performance in harsh environments. Additionally, the system is built for marine durability, featuring CX corrosion resistance and an IP55-rated cooling system to ensure long-lasting operation.
Alex Dong adds: “With our project experience, we have seen that piecing together separate components frequently leads to instability and ineffective solutions. This is precisely why we prioritize offering fully integrated electric outboard systems. Our 5S Energy Solution is a clear demonstration of our unwavering commitment to systematic thinking and comprehensive solutions, ensuring reliability and performance in every application.”
ExploMar’s innovative electric outboard systems are setting new standards in sustainable marine power by total electrification thinking. The introduction of the 5S energy solution highlights their commitment to advancing towards a zero-emission electric water mobility ecosystem. ExploMar aims to collaborate with dock operators, boat manufacturers, and charging station providers to advance sustainable water transportation using fully renewable energy.
